Flash CS3 Kuler Panel Updates

Updates to the Flash CS3 Kuler Panel are now complete. Thanks to those of you who beta tested for me. Updates include:
  • Improved swatch handling for schemes with differing numbers of swatches
  • Improved UI
  • Scheme name bug fixes
  • Performance improvements

You can download the MXP here.

If you find anything that gives you trouble just let me know. Hope you enjoy.
Some additional imagery of the panel in action is below:

Great Panel!. I found one bug in your kuler.jsfl file though. Where you are trying to draw the rectangle to the stage you have flash.getDocumentDOM() when it should be fl.getDocumentDOM(). Also, it would be cool if you set the Fill color to the color that you clicked on and not always the last color in the array.

Not sure what you mean by the jsfl - we haven't had any bugs with that issue - are you using Flash CS3?

Weird, yes I am using Flash CS3. I was getting all kinds of javascript errors when I would click on any of the colors. In the addSwatches method in your kuler.jsfl file that gets installed into the Commands/kuler directory there is a bug. When I changed flash.getDocumentDOM().addNewRectangle to fl.getDocumentDOM().addNewRectangle the errors stopped and the rectangles where drawing on the screen.

Julian - the original version was working for the testers and I but your version does as well. Your version also seems to be the true way since the other method is leveraging "fl". I updated the build that is downloadable. Thanks for your research!

Thanks for the update! I thought that kuler had 5 colors vs 4... :) Another thought may be to have it left aligned in the panel there instead of centered. That way it doesn't need to be fully expanded when you use it. (if its docked)

Looks great, but all I get is "feed load failed'. I also tried pixelStyles, which also looked promising...
Unfortunaly, I get a javascript error when I open the panel:
runScript: Argument number 1 is invalid.
and nothing is loaded.

I use Flash CS3, MacOSX

sander,
Pixelstyles only works in Flash 8. Kuler works in CS3 but occasionally the feeds are down - most of the time it works. It could be a firewall issue, etc if it never works...

Hi, I install, and i don't know where i find in flash cs3 on mac?
Thanks

Should be under the menu "Windows > Other Panels"

Thanks works great!

Great PaneL!

SpeciaL Thanks! (:
